Contaminated soils

Powerday has a comprehensive licence allowing us to accept and treat an extensive range of contaminated soils and ballast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

  • Hazardous drilling muds and wastes (01 05 06)
  • Hazardous tarmac/ road planings (17 03 01)
  • Non-hazardous tarmac/ road planings (17 03 02)
  • Hazardous soils (17 05 03)
  • Non-hazardous and inert soils (17 05 04)
  • Non-hazardous dredging soils (17 05 06)
  • Hazardous track ballast (17 05 07)
  • Non-hazardous track ballast (17 05 08)

We have state of the art under floor heating systems enabling us to dry out materials to meet the EU Liquid Waste to Landfill Directive. We are able to call in mobile treatment technologies at short notice to deal with specific contamination issues that you may encounter onsite. We can also provide excavating machines with experienced, skilled operators.

We have the infrastructure in place to load and transport contaminated and clean soil by freight train, saving a significant amount of vehicle movements and greatly reducing your impact on the environment. A train leaves our railway sidings daily carrying recovered soil to Buckinghamshire for use in either restoration schemes or for deposit into landfill. We operate our own eight wheel tipper vehicles, some benefiting from hydraulic grab arms to self load, enabling us to offer a competitive service for transportation of your materials, whatever the volume.

Please contact us to discuss your contaminated soil and treatment requirements.
