Powerday wins Chelsea Flower Show for second year
Powerday has been awarded the contract for recycling and waste management at Chelsea Flower Show for the second year running.
Last year Powerday recycled more than 600 tonnes of waste including wood, soil and food waste helping Royal Horticultural Society recycle over 95% of Chelsea Flower Show’s waste. BBC footage of the Chelsea Flower Show included a visit to Powerday’s Old Oak Sidings site to show where and how the waste was being recycled and recovered.
Caroline Humphries, Deputy Head of Operations (Shows Department) Royal Horticultural Society says: “The Royal Horticultural Society places high importance on environmental best practice. We are looking forward to working with Powerday again this year and building on our excellent recycling rate from last year.”
