Powerday site in West Drayton hosts Hillingdon Council’s new temporary waste & recycling weekends
London Borough of Hillingdon is holding four temporary waste and recycling weekends for residents following the closure of Rigby Lane Civic Amenity Site by SITA. Residents living in the south of the borough can take any household waste and recycling to Powerday’s site in Railway Sidings, Tavistock Road, West Drayton. The site will be open between 9am and 4pm on:
- 28th and 29th November 2009
- 9th and 10th January 2010
- 27th and 28th February 2010
- 27th and 28th March 2010
Mick Crossan, Managing Director for Powerday said: “We are very pleased to support the London Borough of Hillingdon by providing these temporary waste and recycling weekends. We hope residents will take the opportunity to bring their waste to our site where we will recycle as much as we can.”
There will be no admission to commercial vehicles and vans. They are advised to use the Council’s waste and recycling Centre at New Year’s Green Lane in Harefield, where they may be required to pay a fee.
