Old Oak Sidings just gets better and better

Powerday’s Old Oak Sidings site is currently undergoing further development, with further investment their nine acre site in Willesden Junction.

Last year, the company invested in a Lindner Komet 2800 that shreds residual materials into an even size for refuse-derived-fuel (RDF) meeting the company’s target of 100% recovery from waste six months early.

The latest developments on the site will see the installation of additional Pellenc optical sorting equipment enabling the recovery of more types of plastic for recycling and production a higher specification RDF and an advanced BOA baler. For the first time Powerday will be able to bale recovered materials, enhancing the value of its recovered products and increasing transport efficiency.

Mick Crossan, Chairman of Powerday says: “These current developments are part of our continual investment programme to ensure that our facilities remain at the cutting-edge and our clients receive the best service and value possible.”

The developments will be commencing at the end of August and will be completed in September.
