R2R takes on the Verenti Dragon Ride in preparation for Tour de Force

As part of its training for the Tour de Force, Powerday sponsored cycling club R2R (Rugby to Riding) is taking part in the 190km Verenti Dragon Ride in Bridgend, Wales on Sunday 6th June.

This road cycle challenge takes in the hills and valleys of the Bwlch, Rhigos and Brecon Beacons mountains and is described as ‘ideal training’ for the Tour de France. The Tour de Force covers the Tour de France route of 2010 just two weeks before the professional race and follows the precise route of the main tour, all 20 stages, starting in Rotterdam and finishing in Paris.

Simon Little, Sales and Marketing Director, Powerday says: “This is going to be a tough challenge for the R2R team but it will be great training for the main event. I hope these efforts will encourage support of our fundraising for the William Wates Memorial Trust.”
