- Bigger volumes – with an annual capacity of 1.6 million tonnes, the Willesden Junction centre is the biggest of its kind in the UK.
- Covering extensive specialist sectors – the facility serves all industry sectors but specialises in the recycling of construction, demolition, commercial, industrial and municipal wastes.
- High specification – the building, plant and infrastructure have been designed and equipped to the highest specifications and environmental standards.
- Putting something back – the facility has a purpose-built educational centre for the training of recycling professionals and others.
- Renewable energy – the site is powered by a sustainable biomass energy system.
- Feeder centres – Powerday’s three other centres at Brixton, Neasden and Brimsdown near Enfield act as transfer stations.
- Variety of facilities – in addition to the MRF, the centre includes a waste transfer facility, an aggregate/sand handling facility and a plant hire depot.
